The mountain is filled with marvelous waterfalls after a good rain.
During summer months, this lovely outrigger canoe is moored just off Pu’u Poa Beach below the St. Regis Hotel.
From Pu’u Poa 306, you might notice it scooting across the water on a quick sunset run.
Kauai Humpback whale season is December thru April. Watch pods of whales off the beach from the comfort of Pu’u Poa 306. The area of water just off Kauai was named the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary by President Bush.
Hideaways Beach is just below Pu’u Poa 306 and can been seen from the lanai.
There is great snorkeling here!
Be careful on the trail down to the beach. It is steep and sometimes a little slippery.
